Bioelectrochemistry using micro- and nanoelectrodes

Wolfgang Schuhmann holds the Chair of Analytical Chemistry and is the head of the Center for Electrochemical Sciences (CES) at the Ruhr-University Bochum. He received his Ph.D. in 1986 and his habilitation in 1993 from TU München before being moving to Bochum in 1996. He is author/co-author of more than 600 manuscripts and reviews. His research focuses on fundamental aspects of bioelectrochemistry including biosensors, biofuel cells, on micro- and nanoelectrochemistry including scanning electrochemical microscopy and related techniques, as well as on electrocatalysis for energy conversion and storage.
